By the way, I think they have a nest near by because there are definitely two of them and my boys think they are way awesome.

And the awesomeness meter almost short-circuited because the amount of awesomeness was so overwhelming when the boys saw that the bird was eating a bird in their very own front yard.

Awesome!

(at least that's the word they (the younger two boys and their little sister) kept using)

Fabric Birthday Banner

I made my first Fabric Birthday Banner 4 (maybe 5) years ago.

I saw one somewhere on the Internet and thought I can do that....

.....so I made up a pattern and I did!

My original banner adorns my family room window every birthday (7 times a year).

The kids expect it and look forward to it.

It's been a while since I last made one and it was fun to revisit this old pattern/friend of mine.

I love this line of Moda Fabrics and I thought they worked perfectly for this project.

This banner is going to a friend for her birthday.

The fabric reminded me of her.....so I hope she loves it as much as I do.

I have to mention how S T I N K I N' H A R D it is to photograph these banners!

So please forgive the less than stellar photography......um....well...now that I think about it, it's probably always less than stellar so never mind.

Moving on.

I was going to post a link to a tutorial so you could make your own banner if you wanted to but when I googled it I couldn't find any like mine so maybe I should write my own?

What do you think?
