You know, it doesn't come as a surprise (to me anyway) that it runs in the family.
My mom is an amazing seamstress!
So amazing she had the patience to start teaching me when I was 5! ( yes F-I-V-E) but she did.
Even still it's fun to see with my own eyes that this sewing thing really does run in the family.
On our trip a couple of weeks ago we were able to stay with my Aunt.....my mom's sister.
Check out this King size hand appliqued, hand quilted - quilt she made.
Now get this....
She's 85!
My sister and I have often said that we wish we had half the energy our mother has.
It seems that runs in the family too.
But somehow it must have skipped us.
However, I was lamenting this to a dear friend the other day and she in her wise way consoled me. She said, "You do have energy! Look at what you're accomplishing with your five children each day. I always find that if I look back on my day at what I did accomplish I feel much better than if I look at what I wasn't able to tackle, yet."
Somehow that made sense and I felt/feel a little better about things.
Back to my Aunt.
We had a wonderful time and she spoiled us. We visited, laughed, told stories, played with her dog, sang karaoke, ate, slept a little and hugged. I couldn't ask for a better visit.
Thank you, We love you Aunt F.

Family Road Trip
We've gone and come back.......in fact we just got back a few hours ago.
So much laundry to catch up on.
But it's so worth it!
We had fun...
We're tired...
We made great memories
I'll share a few soon.
In the mean time here are a few hints as to where we went.
I have 4 boys that live at my house that are cowboys at heart.
So this little trip was perfect for them.
And my Grandpa who would be around 128 years old if he were alive.....
Was a REAL cowboy.....he even ran with the Hole-in-the-wall-gang as a boy....
So this was a fun trip for me too.
Any guesses?

Posting a signature on your blog
I finally figured out how to put a signature on the end of each blog post.
Sometimes I feel so slow.......particularly when it comes to computer things.
I thought I'd share a little 'how-to' just in case you wanted to add a little signature at the end of your blog posts too.
That's it!
Now when you write a blog post your signature should be on the page like a picture each time.
You can move it around to where you want it. You can even change the size a little.

- There's a website called Mylivesignature.com where you can create your own signature either using their handwriting fonts or you can upload a scanned copy of your own signature.
- Follow the prompts to create your signature
- Click on "Want to use this signature?"
- Click on "Generate HTML code"
- Highlight and copy the code they give you.
- Log into your blogger account.
- From your dashboard click on "Settings"
- Click on "Formatting"
- Scroll down to Post Template and in the text area paste the code you copied with your signature.
- Click "Save Settings"
